This is the traditional route of ascent for which countless
andinists challenge one of the most important and well-known
mountains in the world and the highest in America, the Aconcagua.
This is considered as a non technique route, this means
that the ascent is only carried out walking, doing it without
tools and strings, allowing the andinists ascent with different
preparation degree, without stopping to have the difficulties
and emotions characteristic of a mountain of these characteristics.
In this case it is advised the use of trekking canes to
improve the balance and to collaborate with the ascent.
It is also important to have crampons since we can find
frozen areas when carrying out the voyage of 6.400 mts.
to 6.600 mts.

This is a program that consists
of two expeditions, the first one to the Cerro Vallecitos
of 5.700 mts. of height and the second to the Cerro Aconcagua.
The same one consists of duration of 20 days and we recommend
it especially to arrive with a good acclimatization level
when carrying out the ascent to the Aconcagua. As alternative
inside this program offer in the County of Mendoza the area
of Vallecitos with more than 20 hills that overcome the 5000
mts. what allows us to choose hills with different types of
difficulties and the most varied and inhospitable landscapes.
It is necessary to have trekking canes and crampons. |

GLACIER OF THE POLES |

This route without place to doubts shows us to the Aconcagua
in its total magnitude, presenting different type of difficulties,
with an approach for the Quebrada de Vacas to Plaza Argentina
to 4.300 mts. arriving to the base of the glacier we can
observe the level of difficulty and the characteristic highly
technique of the route. After a long approach with an imposing
mark arrive to the glacier with a longitude of 1.500 mts.
and a slope of 45º approximately, stops then to meet
with the bottle neck or funnel from 50º to 60º.
This route is only advisable for professional climbers otherwise
is advisable to carry out it with a guide of high mountain.

This route, we could compare it, with the nor-west route
in what refers to you hinder therefore we classify it as
non technique and the same one was carried out for the first
time few years ago. It is longer than the nor-west route

This route has characteristic of voyage, with duration
of between 19 and 22 days. The approach is carried out for
the Quebrada de las Vacas.
Recommended for those who want a different experience, by
inhospitable places, having the possibility to carry out
the view of condors and gumps and a scarce or null contact
with other people because it is a very little trafficked
route, where neither the companies mount camps. Recommended
for those who prefer the contact with a wild and calm nature.
It is not a technical route but extremely inhospitable,
you can only enter accompanied by a guide of High Mountain.
We also advice the use of trekking canes and crampons.

ROUTE BY THE QUEBRADA DE MATIENZO |

This is an alternative
of the normal route that lasts 22 days with some variants
due to their difficulty, the approach is carried out for the
Quebrada de Matienzo where the Hill Matienzo is ascended and
then we cross to Plaza de Mulas by the Portezuelo of the Bread
of Sugar. This is a route that possesses some difficulties
since this step for the Portezuelo of the Pan de Azucar; it
can be snowy and frozen what gives it a special attractiveness.
To carry out this route it is necessary to have pickax, crampons,
strings and screws of ice. It is recommended to make it accompanied
by a guide of High Mountain. |

This is a trekking
that allows us to see the Aconcagua in all their fullness,
carrying out the approach by the Quebrada de Vacas to Plaza
Argentina to 4.300 mts., ascending to the camp 1 and 2 until
reaching Berlin to a height of 5.800 mts., to arrive then
at Plaza de Mulas to 4.300 mts, returning later on by the
Quebrada de Horcones. The approximate duration is of 6 days.
This is a route non technique but it requires of a great physical
state to be able to sum up it in its entirety. It is recommended
to take trekking canes and crampons. |
